Nobody compliments a pane of glass.They compliment the view, the light,the room — which is the whole point.
Glass is the only material on a building that succeeds by disappearing. Every fixing, gasket and silicone line is an admission that it is there at all, so the work is in making them recede.
That is a handling problem as much as a detailing one. A sealed unit is heavy, brittle and unforgiving, and it gets exactly one attempt at landing square. We plan the lift before the glass arrives.

Vacuum lifting and controlled access for oversized panels, planned before the units arrive on site.
Set plumb, ornot set at all.
Frameless glass has no frame to hide behind. A partition a millimetre out of plumb reads as a fault from across the room, and the only honest fix is to lift it out and set it again.
So it is measured against the opening that exists, levelled as it is set, and checked before the lifters come off.

Care & maintenance
Our glass works in Dubai keep their clarity with plain care: clean with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner rather than anything gritty, and keep grit off the floor channel of sliding and frameless assemblies so the seal and the runner are not worn. Check that patch fittings and hinges on balustrades and partitions stay snug — a frameless assembly relies on its hardware, and a two-minute tighten keeps a panel true.

Both have a place: toughened for strength, laminated where the glass must hold together if it breaks — as it must on a balustrade. We specify to the use and the safety requirement, not a default.
